in the given part of dissertational probing we consider the fundamental concepts of the nation, nationalism, patriotism, national idea and all adjacent concepts with them, in a context of their influence on public opinion by means of mass media.
To spend accurate margins between terms difficultly enough, therefore the discourse field is wide enough. The second question which we mention in the given paragraph is a factor of navigation of "the historical truth, as one of elements external and, partially, state internal policy. On our hypothesis, the given factor, shrajushchy defining role in the politician of Poland, is one of excited displays of patriotism.

Expressional function - the widest on the value. The public opinion always takes of a certain position in relation to various political systems, the government, any global nation-wide or universal problem. Thus, in the given function the public opinion represents itself as not which supervising force in relation to power institutes, i.e. possesses the moral power, but also this power is very effective, as becoming ripe processes of discontent of a society can lead to serious consequences, probably, even to certain state variations.
The second function - advisory. The society expresses the point of view on any problem and thus can force to operate power institutes definitely concerning the decision of economic, ideological, political problems. But this function will have influence on power institutes only in the event that the power listens to public opinion. To propagation
Public opinion in many respects promote mass-media, extending opinions of any people, as a rule, leaders of opinions.
The third function - directive, is shown that the public passes the decision on those or other problems of a social life which have unconditional character. For example, expression of national opinion at elections - in this case the people not only renders a trust degree to this or that candidate, but also expresses the opinion. As G.V.Grachev marks, in a modern society zee these functions are carried out by means of activity of mass media. Thus ... Really, the public opinion in many respects defines a public life and points activity of some social institutes, including activity of mass-media. As mass-media try to cover significant, actual problems for a society and in many respects consider them from the point of view of public opinion, it is possible to draw a lead-out, as the public opinion can define activity of mass-media in many respects.
In public opinion shaping about modern Russia it is possible to allocate the following methods used by mass-media which have been generalised in O.Merkulovoj:35's dissertational probing
• the Method of a semantic manipulation. He offers careful selection and special configuration of the concepts calling either positive, or negative associations that allows to influence perception of the information. As the method is based on certain associations, he allows to affect easily the person owing to its habits and belief.
