a method of atomic absorption spectrometry

The Atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) is one of the most widespread methods of physical and chemical researches and the most exact and express methods at definition of microquantities of ions of metals [56].

Many works are devoted definition of metals in various objects [57-67].

The pre-treatment of analyzed hallmark consists in hallmark transfer in a solution, dispersion and deliverings of aerosols in a flame or the furnace. Solvent is evaporated, salts decay, and metals pass in a vaporous state at which they are capable to capture radiation of that wave length which could radiate at more heats. [53].

Principle of action AA of a spectrometer with electrothermal atomisation (ET) in the graphite furnace [68]:

Method AAS is based on the phenomenon of absorption of resonant radiation by free atoms of an element. At absorption of energy atoms of elements pass from the core to higher energy levels. For each element there are allowed transitions which define frequency on which there is an absorption of radiation of a source (resonant spectrum lines of radiation and, accordingly, absorption). As sources of resonant radiation in AAS lamps with the hollow cathode (LPK) are routinely applied.

Atomisation, i.e. transfer of analyzed hallmark in nuclear steam, is manufactured in an analytical cell (a graphite pipe-still heater) the electrothermal evaluator, heat uped by an electric current to the temperature necessary for evaporation of hallmark and atomisation of the defined element.

At evaporation of real hallmark in an analytical cell, except atoms of a defined element, there are gaseous components
(Molecules, particles) which can capture or weaken resonant radiation. This not nuclear or background absorption is a source of regular error AA of measurements. For automatic correction of background absorption in a spectrometer boomerang effect Zeemana is used. For this purpose the graphite furnace settles down in a longitudinal variable magnetic field. In such configuration two-beam two-channel algorithm AA of measurements is realised.

Chemical modifiers of a matrix are applied to definition of some elements by method ET AAS [69-74]. Their action is based on change of fugitiveness of various components of hallmark [62]. Despite perfection of analytical instrumentation, exact, correct, reproduced definition of elements in multicomponent difficult hallmarks remains an actual analytical problem as till now the choice of conditions of definition of elements in them carries in bolshej degrees empirical character and strongly depends on a macrocomponental basis (matrix) of the concrete sample [70].
