3.2. B.Akunina's project "Genres" - a collection of "pure" genre samples

The literary project under the name "Genres", characteristic various genre experiments, has been begun by B.Akuninym in 2005 After conceived tremendous success at readers of a series «New detective» the author decides to create something unlike the detective novels with their genre ambiguity, diskussionnostju and vneramochnostju.

By 2005 in a series "Genres" there were 4 books of authorship of B.Akunina («the Children's book», «the Espionage novel», "Fantasy", "Quest") and one book, «the Children's book for girls», written together with one of the most known network writers of the present - Gloria Mu.

In creation of this project participated at once three large publishing houses, helping the writer to achieve integrity of perception of this series of books: "nuclear heating plant", "Zaharov", "OLMA-PRESS". It is necessary to note kontseptualnost the editions, expressed first of all in design of covers of this series of books on which insects are represented: «the Children's book» - the butterfly, «the Espionage novel» - a spider etc. This detail which at first sight in no way has been not connected with a literary component of the project, is the extremely important. After all this series of products of B.Akunina - certain insektary (capacity for cultivation of insects) in which ideal copies of various literary genres contain. The project «Children's book» opens. The text name is its genre nomination and represents a two-member design.

The second component of the name of the project is even more interesting to research. The conditional genre designation of "book" in reader's perception goes back to base human and Christian cultural values - Bibles (in a translation from Greek - the book), the Life Book. B.Akunin's genre game continues and in these texts, underlining, that all event in the book should not be perceived as a fairy tale, after all «all events described in it have occurred actually. In our opinion, in this case B.Akunin skilfully plays with reader's expectations and acts as the expert on children's psychology. The closest and clear to children a genre - a fairy tale. All of us begin our way to the literature with fairy tales. However products of large volume (as analyzed), children can independently read in 8-9 years, in so-called psychological negation of "childishness". This factor takes on arms the writer, creating the product in the fantastic form, but constantly paying attention of the reader that it at all a fairy tale. Occupying with this reception of the child seriously, the author draws also an adult audience which perfectly understands all "fabulousness" of truthful history and attentively starts to watch subject peripetias of the book.

And B.Akunin already used similar reception in the novel «F. Why "quest"? « Quest (English quest), or adventure game (English adventure game) - one of the basic genres of the computer games, representing interactive history with the protagonist operated the player. The major game elements in a quest genre are actually the narration and world inspection, and the key role in game process is played by the decision of puzzles and the problems demanding from the player intellectual efforts.
